Background
- Yun Liu, MD, PhD specializes in cataract, corneal transplant, ocular surface reconstruction, and refractive surgery as a Senior Ophthalmology Physician at Kaiser Permanente Stockton. Dr. Liu received extensive training in corneal and refractive surgery during her fellowship in University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas. She also has many certifications in laser vision correction including the latest wavefront guided custom ablation from VISX.
- Prior to joining TPMG, Dr. Liu has worked as a visiting assistant professor at the University of Texas Health Science center. She enjoyed teaching residents of ophthalmology and medicine, mentoring medical students, and participating in research involving laser vision surgery.
- Dr. Liu is the first ophthalmologist in Stockton TPMG to perform laser vision correction. Working together with a team of excellence, she started the laser vision correction service in the central valley in 2004. The state of the art technology and high quality care with a personal touch her team provides to her patients have attracted both Kaiser and other community members.
