Kaiser Permanente Laser Vision Correction
LASIK is not the answer to everyone’s vision problems, which is why the specialists at Kaiser Permanente offer other advanced vision correction services in Sacramento, San Francisco, Walnut Creek, and other Northern California locations. Our team of eye care specialists is dedicated to helping people see clearly and live their lives to the fullest. Our other services include:
- Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) is an alternative to LASIK that can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
- Refractive lens exchange (RLE) involves surgically removing the natural lens of the eye and replacing it with an artificial lens. This procedure is often performed on people who are not good candidates for laser vision correction because of thin or flat corneas or high levels of hyperopia (farsightedness).
- Phakic intraocular lens (IOL) surgery is a reversible alternative to RLE for people who have good near vision and poor distance vision (high levels of myopia) or who have thin corneas and are not good candidates for laser eye surgery.
